No, really. I have nothing to say. Really no reason to update except that I'm bored as hell and trying to avoid going back home. Becuase I'll just be bored as hell there--only difference being that I'll have food at home. But I'm currently chewing Orbit gum, so I don't need food. Yes. In case anyone cares, Orbit is THE gum to chew, despite their crappy commercials.

OK, I'll go. I'll get my lazy ass home, drink some caffeine to wake myself up and prevent further insanity, and help my mom pack up her classroom. 'Cause she's moving to a new classroom, yo. And then we go to Texas on Friday, so I'll see y'all after that. And I'll have a temporary southern accent which should tickle the hell out of ~ivyhawthorn. Who updates everything less than I do.

So, yes. I really am leaving now. To pack the classroom, get Eliot from the vet, and call Ivy--'cause I promised I would. And I need to write a letter to ~batness too. 'Cause I'm a bad friend and haven't sent the one from LAST MONTH.

If anybody got a message recently saying that I'd friended you, you've actually been on my list for a while. I recently regrouped everybody on my friends list so I could find people easier, and I think it sent out new "friend" notices to the people I stalk. Just in case you were wondering.

Someday I'll remember to check this place more than once a month. Once a week would be about right.

Anyway, I was checking through people's deviations, and I was struck, as always, by how small the furry community really is. Everyone is connected; either they know each other, or they have mutual friends, or something.

When I first joined Side 7, eons ago, I found Nate Alig a.k.a. Trash Kitten .
Then I traveled around Yerf and found Erin Middendorf and Gloria Pike . After following Gloria's art to her webcomic, Untitled! [link] , I met various lovely and talented anthro artists, including Foxy .
It wasn't long until I converted from S7 to DA, where I met Firebringer .
Firebringer is friends with Teeka who is friends with Foxy Fennec, thought I don't know if Fire and Foxy know each other. Foxy is being dev-watched by Nate Alig, which brings it all back into a nice little circle.

I'm sure there are more connections if one were to dig deeper. Just shows how small the world is.

I should get my Dido CD out when I get home.

Wow. It's been so long since I've been here that I forgot how to update my journal. Spent almost five minutes looking for the damn link. Finally found it, and yet have nothing profound to say. I haven't been drawing much AT ALL, hence my absence. I suppose I could upload my homework under "prose" and "scraps" but y'all would be as bored as I am.

Ivy has insisted that I draw something for her, so I have a sketch in the works. It barfed itself out on notebook paper because I didn't have a sketchbook handy at the time. However, it is a fairly good sketch (of ~ ivyhawthorn~batness and myself). In fact, I hate to cover the anatomy with clothing. Ivy says to leave us nekkid 'cause then we'd be a sexy pornish threesome, but I'm not too sure about that either.

In the non-art world, I am going back to Auburn on June 4 for graduation. Ivy and I are going to stay in a hotel there and go to the fun stuff at AAA, running away screaming when it's boring. I have to get teriyaki while I'm there. Auburn has the best teriyaki places evar.

At the end of June (the 17-ish), I'm going to Texas. Mom's got mucho family there, and has a burden to introduce me to her grammy before she dies. I guess that's OK with me. While there we're going to check out a university for me to attend after I get my AS. Not likely that I'll run back to this university, because I've pretty much sworn off Christian colleges. We'll see.

I also submitted an application to the county to be a librarian this summer. There's an 18-20 hour a week position opening up, and it pays nearly $9 an hour. Minimum wage is only $7.25, so nine bucks is good. I'd be able to pay off my student loans and my car with money to spare.

I have Fritos and chili waiting for me in the fridge of the employee lounge. Sadly, I have to wait another 2.5 hours for my lunch break.

Wow. I'm posting here when I should be reading Twelfth Night. This, however, does not make me a slacker. "Slacker" would be me on, say, LJ or Gaia. No, posting here makes me an uber slacker. Officially.

But you know what? It's all good, because I found ~simon-noir! It maketh me happy. *purrs* I also say that * klovese has been watching too much Naruto lately (check the photos in his gallery), but he will be forgiven. Why? He referenced Shakespeare! (See deviation titled "Oberon".) The drawing's all sketchy and spiff too.
